Greetings Sistahs y Hermanas!
As a church birther, published writer, pastor and encourager, equipper and educator to women, it gives me great joy to once again be a part of the Women in Ministry International Conference for the third year in a row. I want to urge all my Florida sisters as well as my Latina hermanas everywhere to seriously consider attending this conference in 2007!
As leaders, we are flooded with invitations to conferences in every part of the country, led many times by leaders we know as well as leaders we don’t. While many of them are wonderful events (as I’ve been to many), WIMIN is different because of two factors: 1) its leader, Rev. Dr. Suzan Johnson Cook and 2) the interaction with all levels of leaders, at various stages of their ministerial journey with no hierarchal boundaries. Dr. Sujay becomes your big sister during the conference and makes you feel like you can let your hair down. She makes it one big women’s sleep over. In addition, the speakers are approachable and actually want to answer your questions, share some ministerial tid-bits and some even stay up late after an all day speaking session to hang out with the ladies and share their journey. After hosting conferences myself with up to 650 people and attending numerous ones, I can say without a shadow of a doubt there is no conference like it!
Finally, this is the only conference I know of that is intentionally welcoming of Latinas who in many ways while not having gone through the same journey as African Americas, share very similar ones. The bottomline here ladies, is this: we have been called of God to dare mighty things for Him; this conference empowers, educates and encourages women to go forward in their God-given dream. I always leave refreshed and renewed, I want you to experience it too!
Be equipped for the King…come to the conference!
Because of His Grace,

Rev. Dr. Elizabeth D. Rios
Your Blatina Sister
